Privacy Policy for MTBox
This Privacy Policy describes our policies and procedures on the collection, use and disclosure of your information when you use MTBox.
Collection of User data
Your MTBox user is anonymous for all intents and purposes. None of the data can be related to you or your mobile device.
MTBox does not request or require user data from you as a user, beyond the geolocation of your mobile device. This information is collected periodically, without the need for the application to be open or in use.
By default, geolocation is not activated. You must give your express consent so that we can store it.
Usage of User data
The last geolocation of your mobile device is used to receive messages, in the event that it is within the geographical limits defined by our clients. In this way, you will be able to receive messages that are especially relevant to your physical safety, due to its possible proximity to the scene of an emergency.
The content of the messages depends on our clients, who have agreed not to use them for advertising, commercial or marketing purposes. Their only objective will be to alert in emergency situations.
No one except yourself, not even the sender of the message, will have proof of whether or not you have received these messages.
Retention of User data
Only the last geolocation of your mobile device is kept in a database, indefinitely until it is modified.
Disclosure of User data
Neither our clients, nor any other third party, have access to any of your data. Even in the case of being forced to disclose them, due to a legal requirement or force majeure, the data cannot be related to you or your device in any way.
Access to user data
No user has permission to access the geolocation data stored in the MTBox Database.
Even if it could be accessed, the data could not be related to you or your mobile device in any way.
International Transfer of User data
Your user data resides in Google Firebase Realtime Database and which runs only in Google LLC Data Centers, incorporated under the laws of the State of California (USA) based in Mountain View (California, USA), occurring, if applicable the case, the consequent international transfer of your data. You can find information about it here.
Rights of the user regarding their data
It is not possible to relate the geolocation data stored in the database with you or with your mobile device, so your rights regarding your data are guaranteed by being totally anonymous.
Security of User data
We strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your user data. Communications with our servers are end-to-end encrypted (HTTPS), and our database is encrypted, among other security measures.
Changes to the privacy policy
You are encouraged to review this Privacy Policy periodically for changes. Changes to this Privacy Policy are made effective when posted on this page.
